GoodMaps Outdoors is a comprehensive turn-by-turn GPS application designed for the iPhone, featuring a range of outdoor navigation tools alongside unique functionalities that set it apart from other similar apps in the market.  <li>A standout feature of GoodMaps Outdoors is the ability to record routes through breadcrumbs known as Waypoints. This distinctive functionality allows users to add waypoints manually via the 'add' button or by shaking the device to create a waypoint automatically. Waypoints are generated at specified distances and can be saved for future reference.</li>
 <li>The Lookaround Wand located in the top right corner provides users with details about their surrounding environment.</li>
 <li>Additional information such as altitude and speed can be accessed through the 'More Info' button.</li>
 <li>Users have the option to create personalized Points of Interest (POIs), which can be shared publicly or kept private. These customized POIs can be conveniently managed from either the Location page or the dedicated POIs page.</li>
 <li>Search results are facilitated by POI categories, aiding users in easily locating their desired destinations.</li>
 <li>The app incorporates audio tones and vibrations to provide feedback at various stages, including upcoming turns, crucial intersection details, and search loading notifications.</li>
 <li>A diverse route menu offers multiple methods for selecting a destination, ranging from choosing a starting point based on POIs, addresses from contacts, route history, and more.</li>
 <li>Users can personalize their experience through a range of customizable settings, such as vibration preferences, vision contrast settings, color schemes, and distance units.</li>
 <li>Announcement options include directional cues (right, left) and clockface references for enhanced guidance during navigation.</li>
